Why it happens:

There are several reasons why the edge of your mat may have come up. One of the most common reasons we encounter is not properly taping the mat seams together or the edges getting kicked up while athletes walk onto the mat.

1. It is important to tape the mat sections in a continuous run from one end to the other side of the section. This ensures a secure and connected mat.

2. Edge Transition Strips are a great way to protect your edges.

How to Repair the Edge?

To ensure a successful repair of your wrestling mat, please follow these steps:

1. Use Resilite F-14 Glue for the repair.

2. Place a towel or cardboard underneath the area where you will be making the repair. This will protect your floor from any glue or accidental damage.

3. Generously apply glue to both the bottom side of the vinyl and the top of the foam.

4. Place something heavy (but not too heavy) over the glued edge to keep it in place.

5. Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours before removing the weight. This will ensure that the repair is fully set and the mat is ready to use.
